Yes, there are great graphic design tools like Canva you could use to create your own logo. We use Canva at our office all the time ... just not for logo design.
Logo design is a completely different animal and requires a much higher skillset than is required to create a social media graphic or a blog post image.
Obviously the DIY approach keeps costs to a minimum, but your business logo is one area where you don't want to skimp on costs because the quality of your logo equals the quality of your brand.
2. Outsource it to an budget-rate freelancer
This is a better option for custom logo design that the DIY approach because you'll get access to people with graphic design skills.
The major problem is its very time-consuming to find the right person because it takes hours searching on freelancer sites like Upwork or 99designs to find the right person. Kind of like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
Even if you do find someone that looks promising (at least on paper) it's still a bit of a crap shoot because they could be difficult to work with or they don't deliver as advertised.
